my childhood friend's mother made this portuguese meat recipe that includes potatoes. (I think it was either cube steak or sirloin strips steak that she used).
The sauce has an orange/red color to it. The meat is so tender that it falls apart when you touch it with a fork. It also has potatoes that have been cooked in the sauce. Sauce is a little salty. I have looked all over the net and have found no recipe close to this. Can anyone help?Portuguese meat recipes?

Here in Ma. we have a big Portuguese population. It may be Chourico, pork alentejana (usually has clams) or cacoila (most likely) sounds like ka-sir-la. Try gaspar's sausage, they have a website, ask it they have the cacoila seasoning, its a wet bright red marinade. If you find something ask again and I'll help you with some recipes for the above.
