Pre-made pie crust


2 lbs ground pork


2 lbs ground veal


1 lb ground beef


1 large onion, diced


1 tsp poultry seasoning


1 tsp allspice


salt %26amp; pepper to taste





In a large pot, break up meat. Add spices. Cover with water. Cook over low heat for 12 hours, stirring often and breaking up large pieces of meat. When meat is thoroughly cooked, let stand a few minutes, then thicken mixture with dry bread crumbs to taste.





In a pie plate, pour filling into pie crust. Top with another layer of crust, cutting vents and brushing with egg wash or butter for browning. Bake at 300 for about a half hour.





Makes 6 pies.
